πŸ“– Bible Verse
β€œWhoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” β€” Luke 16:10

πŸ•ŠοΈ Story / Reflection

God has given each of us responsibilities.

Responsibilities are the things we are expected to do. For you as a child, these may include:

  • Tidying up toys
  • Completing schoolwork
  • Helping at home
  • Taking care of belongings
  • Following instructions
  • Keeping promises

Sometimes responsibilities may not seem exciting, and we may feel like putting them off. But God wants us to be faithful in the small things.

Jesus was responsible in everything He did. He obeyed His parents, completed the work His Father gave Him, and always did what was right.

When we take care of our duties faithfully, we show that we can be trusted.

Being responsible means:

  • Doing what needs to be done
  • Doing it on time
  • Doing it well
  • Doing it even when no one is watching

God is pleased when we faithfully carry out the responsibilities He has given us.

Every small act of responsibility helps build strong character and prepares us for greater things in the future.

πŸ’‘ Lesson

God wants me to be faithful and responsible in the things He has given me to do.

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear God, Thank You for the responsibilities You have given me.

Help me to be faithful, trustworthy, and diligent in my duties.

Teach me to do my work well, even when it is difficult or when no one is watching.

Help me become more like Jesus every day. Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6): "Responsibility Star Chart"

Create a simple chart with tasks such as:

  • Make my bed
  • Put away toys
  • Help at home
  • Listen to instructions

Give a star sticker each time a task is completed. Say together: "I can be responsible!"

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Discuss:

  1. What does responsibility mean?
  2. Why is it important to complete our duties?
  3. What responsibilities do you have at home and school?
  4. How does being responsible honour God?

πŸ•―οΈ Challenge (Ages 10–12)Responsibility Challenge

This week:

  • Complete your chores without being reminded
  • Finish school assignments on time
  • Keep your promises
  • Take care of your belongings

Each day ask yourself: "Did I faithfully do what I was supposed to do today?"

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Sit quietly and take a slow breath.

Think about the responsibilities God has given you at home, school, church, and among your friends.

Now softly say: "Jesus, help me be faithful with the things You have entrusted to me."

Pause quietly for a moment.

Ask Jesus to show you one responsibility you can do better this week.

Rest peacefully, knowing that God notices every act of faithfulness, even the small ones.
