📖 Bible Verse
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die.’” —  John 11:25

🕊️ Story / Reflection

When Jesus died on the cross, many people felt sad and afraid. They thought everything was over.

But three days later, something amazing happened. Jesus came back to life.

The stone was rolled away, the tomb was empty, and Jesus was alive again.

Jesus’ resurrection showed everyone that death is not the end.

God is stronger than death, sadness, fear, and sin.

Because Jesus is alive, we can have hope.

Even when life feels hard or sad, we can remember that Jesus brings new life.

Just like flowers bloom after a long season and the sun rises after the night,

Jesus brings hope after sadness.

Jesus is alive, and because of Him, we can live with joy, peace, and hope.

💡 Lesson

Because Jesus is alive, I can have hope and new life.

🙏 Prayer

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for rising from the dead.

Thank You for giving me hope and new life.

Help me to remember that You are always with me, even in sad or difficult times.

Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)

  • Draw a hill with an empty tomb.
  • Add a big stone rolled away from the entrance.
  • Draw the sun rising behind the hill.
  • Write: “Jesus Is Alive!”

Talk about how the empty tomb means Jesus rose again.

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Write or Discuss:

  1. What happened after Jesus died?
  2. Why is the empty tomb important?
  3. How does Jesus’ resurrection give us hope?

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12)

Today, think of someone who may be sad, worried, or discouraged.

Pray for them or encourage them with kind words.

Remember: because Jesus is alive, we can share hope with others.

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Close your eyes and take a slow breath.

Imagine standing outside the empty tomb early in the morning.

The sun is rising, birds are singing, and Jesus is standing nearby with a smile.

Hear Him say:

“I am alive, and I will always be with you.”

Sit quietly and rest in His hope and peace.
