📖 Bible Verse: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example…”1 Timothy 4:12

🕊️ Story / Reflection

Mariam was the youngest in her class, but she was one of the kindest. One day, she noticed a classmate sitting alone during break time. Instead of ignoring him, she walked over, smiled, and said, “Would you like to play with me?”

The boy’s face brightened instantly.

Later, the teacher told Mariam, “You may be small, but today you taught everyone what kindness looks like.”

Just like Mariam, you don’t have to be older to make a difference. God wants children to lead by showing love, kindness, honesty, and courage, even in small ways.

You don’t have to wait till you grow up to make a difference! You can be examples in kindness, speech, love, and actions just as God desires.

💡 Lesson:

God believes in kids! You can be an example anywhere at school, at home, at church, and even online. Your choices, words, and attitude can inspire others to do what is right.

🙏 Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank You for believing in me. Help me to be an example in the way I speak, act, love, and obey You. Let others see You through me. Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6):

“I Can Be a Good Example” Colouring Sheet

Give kids a simple colouring page with children helping, sharing, smiling, or praying.

Ask: “Which one of these good examples can you do today?”

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9):

Write or draw three ways you can be a good example at:

  • Home
  • School
  • Church
Then choose one to practice today.

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12):

For the next 24 hours, intentionally choose one area to be an example in:

  • Your words
  • Your attitude
  • Your behaviour
  • How you treat others

At the end of the day, note how it felt and what you learned.

🌸 Closing Thought:

You don’t need to wait to grow up before God uses you. Your light can shine right now just by choosing to do what is right. Kids can lead too!
