📖 Bible Verse
“Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.” —  Matthew 6:12

🕊️ Story / Reflection

Have you ever done something wrong and felt a little uncomfortable inside?

Maybe you said something unkind…

Maybe you didn’t tell the truth…

Maybe you hurt someone’s feelings…

That feeling is your heart telling you something isn’t right.

Jesus teaches us that when we do wrong, we don’t have to hide. We don’t have to pretend. We can come to God and simply say, “I’m sorry.”

God is loving and ready to forgive.

When we ask for forgiveness, He cleans our hearts and gives us a fresh start.

Jesus also teaches us something important — just as God forgives us, we should also forgive others.

Forgiveness brings peace to our hearts.

💡 Lesson

I can say sorry to God, and He forgives me. I can also forgive others.

🙏 Prayer

Dear God,

I am sorry for the wrong things I have done.

Please forgive me and help me to do what is right.

Help me also to forgive others just like You forgive me.

Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)

  • Draw a big heart on paper.
  • Shade part of it lightly (to show wrong choices).
  • Then “clean” it by colouring over with a bright colour or decorating it with stickers.

Say

“God forgives me and makes my heart clean.”

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Discuss:

  1. Why is it important to say sorry?
  2. How do you feel when someone forgives you?
  3. Is it sometimes hard to forgive others? Why?

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12)Forgiveness in Action

Today:

  • Say sorry for something you did wrong.
  • Forgive someone who may have hurt you.

Write down how it made you feel afterwards.

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Close your eyes and take a slow breath.

Imagine holding something heavy in your hands.

Now imagine Jesus gently taking it from you and saying,

“You are forgiven.”

Feel your heart becoming light and peaceful.

Sit quietly in that peace.
