📖 Bible Verse
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” — 1 John 5:14

🕊️ Story / Reflection

Have you ever called someone’s name and wondered if they heard you?

Sometimes people don’t hear us because they are far away or distracted. But God is never distracted. He is never too far. He is never too busy.

When you pray — even if it is a whisper God hears you. He hears:

  • Your thank-you prayers
  • Your worried prayers
  • Your quiet heart prayers
  • Even the tears you cannot explain

You may not always hear His answer right away. But you can be sure of this: He heard you the moment you prayed.

That is what makes prayer powerful — not loud words, but a listening God.

💡 Lesson

When I pray, God truly listens.

🙏 Prayer

Dear God,

Thank You for hearing me every time I pray.

Help me trust that You are listening, even when I don’t see answers right away.

I am grateful that You care about every word I say.

Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)

  • Whisper a short prayer into your hands.

Then say:
“God heard that!”

  • Draw big listening ears on paper and write:
    “God hears me.”

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)Ask:

  1. How do you feel knowing God hears you?
  2. Have you ever prayed for something important?
  3. Why do you think listening is important in relationships?

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12)

For the next 3 days:

  • Write down one prayer request each day.
  • After praying, write: “God heard me.”
  • Reflect on how it changes your confidence in prayer.

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Close your eyes.

Take a slow breath.

Whisper one short sentence to God right now.

Then sit quietly and imagine Him nodding gently and saying,

“I heard you.”Rest in that assurance.
