📖 Bible Verse
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” — Psalm 103:8

🕊️ Story / Reflection

Have you ever tried to tie your shoelaces and it took many tries? Or tried to read a word and got it wrong again and again?

Sometimes we make mistakes.

Sometimes we need time to learn.

Sometimes we don’t get things right the first time.

But God is patient with us. He doesn’t rush us.

He doesn’t shout at us when we are learning. He doesn’t give up on us when we fall.

He gently teaches, guides, and helps us grow — step by step.

Just like a loving parent waits while a child learns to walk, God waits patiently while we learn, grow, and change.

His love never runs out. His patience never finishes.

💡 Lesson

God is patient with me while I learn and grow.

🙏 Prayer

Dear God,

Thank You for being patient with me.

Thank You for loving me even when I make mistakes.

Help me to grow and to be patient with others too.

Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)

  • Draw a small seed in soil.
  • Then draw a sprout, then a small plant.
  • Plants grow slowly — and that’s okay!
  • Write: “God is patient while I grow.”

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Discuss or write:

  1. What is something you are still learning?
  2. How do you feel when you make a mistake?
  3. How does it help to know God is patient with you?

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12)

This week:

  • When you feel frustrated with yourself, pause and say:
    “God is patient with me.”
  • Practice being patient with one person — a sibling, classmate, or friend.

Notice how patience changes the situation.

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Close your eyes and take a slow breath.

Imagine Jesus sitting beside you as you try something difficult.

He is smiling gently.

He says, “Take your time. I’m here.”

Sit quietly and feel His calm presence with you.
