I am Special to God

“You are precious and honoured in my sight, and I love you.”
— Isaiah 43:4a

🕊️ Story / Reflection

God is speaking to you in this verse. He says you are precious, honoured, and loved. That means you are very important to Him.

God made you in a very special way. There is no one else exactly like you in the whole world. Your smile, your thoughts, your talents, and your heart are all special to God.

God knows your name. He knows your heart. He knows everything about you, and He still loves you deeply. 

When God looks at you, He doesn’t see a mistake or someone ordinary. He sees someone special, chosen, and cared for.

No matter where you are or how you feel, God’s love for you never changes. You are special to God every single day.

Sometimes we compare ourselves with others and feel small or unseen. But God never compares you to anyone else. When God looks at you, He sees someone precious and important.

You are not special because of what you can do. You are special because God made you and loves you.

Dear God,

Thank You for loving me.

Thank You for saying that I am precious and special to You.

Help me remember how much I matter to You every day.

Amen.

Say together: “I am special to God.”
Decorate a star and write your name on it.

Ask and discuss or write:

• What does it mean to be precious?
• How does it feel to know God loves you?
• What is one thing that makes you special?
• How does it feel to know God cares about you personally?
• Write one thing you like about yourself

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12)

This week:

• Read Isaiah 43:4 each day.
• Say it aloud as a reminder.
• Encourage someone else by telling them they are special to God.

Sit quietly and take a deep breath.

Place your hand on your heart.

Imagine God gently saying to you:

“You are precious. You are loved.”

Stay quiet and let His love fill your heart
