Tola stood in front of the mirror, frowning at her curly hair. “I wish I looked different,” she whispered.
Her mom walked in and smiled. “Do you know that God made you exactly how He wanted you to be?”
She opened her Bible and read Psalm 139:14.
“Tola,” she said gently, “God never makes mistakes. Every part of you, your smile, your voice, your skin, your gifts, He designed them on purpose.”
Tola felt her heart warm. She looked back in the mirror, and this time she whispered something new:
“Thank You, God. I am wonderfully made.”
God created you with care and love. You are not an accident. You are special, unique, and full of purpose. When you understand this, you can walk confidently and treat others with the same kindness God shows you.
Dear God, thank You for making me so wonderfully. Help me love myself the way You love me and use the gifts You placed inside me. Amen.
With crayons or paint, draw yourself. Point out features you love—eyes, smile, hair, hands, etc.
Write down 5 things you like about yourself—your strengths, personality traits, or talents.
Then thank God for each one.
Choose one person today and say something kind about how wonderfully God made them.
Be an encourager!
You are not ordinary you are God’s masterpiece. Every day, remember: God made me with purpose, and I am wonderfully made.
