I CAN SHINE FOR JESUS

📖 Bible Verse:
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14

🕊️ Story / Reflection

Amara was at school when she noticed a new girl sitting alone during break. Everyone else was busy playing with their friends, but Amara felt a small voice in her heart say, “Go and sit with her.” She walked over, smiled, and asked the girl to join her game. The new girl’s face lit up with joy! Later that day, Amara’s teacher told her, “You showed kindness today. You were a light.” Amara didn’t have to do anything big or loud. Just by showing kindness and love, she shone for Jesus. 

Every time we share love, tell the truth, forgive, or help others — we shine God’s light in our world.

💡 Lesson:
I can shine for Jesus by showing love, kindness, and truth wherever I go. My actions can help others see God’s goodness.

🙏 Prayer:
Dear Jesus,
Thank You for making me a light in this world.
Help me to shine brightly through my words, actions, and love.
May others see You through me every day.
Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6):
Draw a big shining sun and write, “I can shine for Jesus!” inside it.

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9):
Think of one way you can shine for Jesus today — maybe by being kind, helping someone, or saying something nice. Write it down and do it!

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12):
Be intentional today — show God’s light in one situation where it’s hard to be kind or patient. Then thank God for helping you shine.

You carry God’s light wherever you go — let it shine brightly so others can see Jesus through you!
