📖 Bible Verse:
“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

🕊️ Story / Reflection

Sometimes, as children, we feel sad, maybe because a friend was unkind, a toy broke, we were corrected, or we just don’t know why our heart feels heavy. When sadness comes, it can feel lonely, like no one understands.

But Jesus understands every feeling we have. When you are sad, He doesn’t walk away. He comes close. He listens. He cares. The Bible tells us that Jesus is near to those who are hurting. That means when tears fall, Jesus is right there, loving you and comforting your heart.

When we feel sad, Jesus notices.

In the Bible, Jesus cried when His friend Lazarus died. This shows us that Jesus understands sadness. He cares about our feelings and stays close to us when our hearts hurt.

When you are sad, you can talk to Jesus. He listens, He understands, and He cares.

You don’t have to hide your sadness from Jesus. You can tell Him exactly how you feel, and He will care for you.

💡 Lesson

Jesus cares about your feelings.

When you are sad, you are not alone.

Jesus stays close to you and comforts your heart.

🙏 Prayer

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for caring when I feel sad.

Thank You for staying close to me.

Please comfort my heart and help me feel Your love.

Amen.
