📖 Bible Verse
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32

🕊️ Story / Reflection

Joseph’s brothers had treated him very badly when he was younger. They were jealous of him because of His dreams and sold him far away from home.

Many years later, Joseph became a leader in Egypt.

One day, his brothers came to Egypt needing food because there was a famine in the land. Joseph had the power to punish them. But instead of choosing revenge, Joseph chose forgiveness.

He showed kindness to his brothers and cared for them.

Joseph understood that God had been with him through every difficult moment, and he chose love instead of bitterness.

Forgiveness does not mean pretending something wrong never happened. It means choosing not to hold anger in our hearts.

Sometimes forgiveness can be hard, but God helps us forgive just like He forgives us.

💡 Lesson

God helps me forgive others, even when they hurt me.

🙏 Prayer

Dear God,

Thank You for forgiving me.

Help me to forgive others when they hurt my feelings.

Fill my heart with love, kindness, and peace.

Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)

“Kind Heart” Craft

  • Cut out a large paper heart.
  • Write or draw kind things inside it.
  • Talk about how forgiveness keeps our hearts soft and loving.

Say: “I can choose forgiveness.”

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Write or Discuss:

  1. How did Joseph’s brothers hurt him?
  2. What did Joseph choose to do instead of revenge?
  3. Why can forgiveness sometimes feel hard?
  4. How can God help us forgive?

Encourage children to talk honestly about feelings and forgiveness.

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12)

Think of someone who hurt or upset you.

Today:

  • Pray for that person
  • Ask God to help your heart heal
  • Choose kindness instead of holding anger

Remember: forgiveness brings peace.

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Close your eyes and take a slow breath.

Imagine holding a heavy rock labelled “hurt” or “anger.”

Now, picture Jesus gently taking it from your hands.

Hear Him say:

“You can let it go. I will help you forgive.”

Feel your heart becoming lighter and peaceful.
