📖 Bible Verse
“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” —  Matthew 6:13

🕊️ Story / Reflection

You may feel tempted to:

  • Take something that is not yours
  • Say something unkind
  • Disobey instructions
  • Choose what is wrong instead of what is right

That feeling is called temptation — when you feel pulled to do something you know is not right.

Jesus teaches us that we don’t have to handle temptation alone. We can ask God for help.

When we pray, “Lead us not into temptation,” we are asking God to guide us away from wrong choices and help us stay on the right path.

God can help you:

  • Make good decisions
  • Say “no” to wrong things
  • Choose what is right even when it is hard

You are never alone in your choices — God is there to guide you.

💡 Lesson

God helps me choose what is right.

🙏 Prayer

Dear God,

Please help me make good choices.

Guide me away from things that are wrong.

Give me the strength to do what is right, even when it is hard.

Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)

  • Show simple examples (sharing vs. snatching, telling the truth vs. lying).
  • Ask the child to point to or act out the right choice.

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Discuss:

  1. What does temptation mean?
  2. Can you think of a time it was hard to do the right thing?
  3. How can God help you in those moments?

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12

Today:

  • Watch for one moment when you feel tempted to do something wrong.
  • Pause and pray: “God, help me choose what is right.”
  • Then make the right choice.

Reflect on how it felt afterwards.

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Close your eyes and take a slow breath.

Imagine standing at a crossroads.

One path looks easy but is not right.

The other path is good but harder.

Jesus stands beside you and gently points to the right path, saying,

“I will help you.”

Sit quietly and choose the right path with Him.
