📖 Bible Verse
“And we all who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” — 2Corinthians 3:18

🕊️ Story / Reflection

God cares deeply about who we are becoming.

Just like a potter carefully shapes clay into something beautiful, God shapes our hearts and character to become more like Jesus.

Sometimes God teaches us through everyday situations:

  • Learning to be patient
  • Choosing kindness
  • Telling the truth
  • Forgiving others
  • Obeying even when it is hard

These moments help build godly character inside us.

Character does not grow all at once. It grows little by little as we spend time with God, read His Word, pray, and obey Him daily.

When we make mistakes, God does not give up on us. He lovingly teaches, corrects, and helps us grow stronger inside.

The more we allow God to shape us, the more our lives begin to reflect the love, kindness, honesty, and goodness of Jesus.

God is doing beautiful work in you every day.

💡 Lesson

God is shaping me to become more like Jesus.

🙏 Prayer

Dear God,

Thank You for loving me and helping me grow.

Shape my heart and character to become more like Jesus.

Help me to be kind, honest, patient, obedient, and loving.

Teach me to trust You as You work in my life.

Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)“Clay and Character” Activity

  • Give children clay or playdough to shape into hearts or simple figures.
  • Explain how God shapes our hearts and helps us grow.

Say together:“God is shaping me!”

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Discuss:

  1. What does it mean for God to shape our character?
  2. What are some qualities God wants us to have?
  3. How does God help us grow?
  4. What area would you like God to help you improve?

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12)Character Growth Challenge

This week:

  • Practice one godly character trait every day:
    • Kindness
    • Patience
    • Honesty
    • Obedience
    • Forgiveness

At the end of each day, ask: “Did my actions look more like Jesus today?”

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Sit quietly and place your hands open in front of you.

Imagine your heart like soft clay in Jesus’ hands.

Now softly say: “Jesus, shape me to become more like You.”

Pause quietly for a moment.

Think about one area where Jesus may be helping you grow — maybe kindness, patience, honesty, or obedience.

Rest quietly and remember that God is lovingly shaping your character every day.
