Manna in the Wilderness (God Provides)
📖 Bible Verse
“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘I will rain down bread from heaven for you.’” — Book of Exodus 16:4
🕊️ Story / Reflection
After God’s people left Egypt, they travelled through the wilderness.
The journey was long, and soon the people became hungry.
They worried and wondered how they would get food in the middle of the desert. But God saw their need.
The next morning, something amazing covered the ground — small flakes called manna.
God provided food from heaven for His people every single day.
Each morning, the people gathered just enough for that day, learning to trust God daily. God did not forget them in the wilderness. And He does not forget us either.
Sometimes we worry about what we need — food, help, strength, peace, or guidance. But God knows our needs and cares for us.
God is our provider.
💡 Lesson
God knows what I need and faithfully provides for me.
🙏 Prayer
Dear God,
Thank You for taking care of me every day.
Help me to trust You when I worry about my needs.
Thank You for always providing for me and my family.
Amen.
🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)
“Manna from Heaven” Craft
- Use cotton balls, paper dots, or cereal pieces to represent manna.
- Scatter them on blue or brown paper.
- Let children collect them into small cups or baskets.
Say: “God provides for me every day.”
✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)
Write or Discuss:
- Why were the Israelites worried?
- What did God provide for them?
- What are some things God provides for you?
- Why is it important to trust God daily?
Encourage gratitude and trust.

- Pray instead of worrying about your needs
- Trust that God cares about every part of your life

Close your eyes and take a slow breath.
Imagine standing quietly in the wilderness early in the morning.
Soft manna covers the ground like a gift from heaven.
Jesus stands beside you and gently says:
“I will provide what you need.”
Feel peace as you trust in His care and provision.
