Praise as a Way of Saying Thank You

“Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart.”— Psalm 111:1a

🕊️ Story / Reflection

When we praise God, we are telling Him how wonderful He is. Praise can be done by singing, clapping, dancing, or speaking kind words about God.

Praise is a joyful way of saying “thank You.” When we praise God, we remember His goodness, His power, and His love. Even when we don’t have many words, praise helps our hearts express gratitude. 

God loves it when His children praise Him with joy and love.

Dear God,
 You are good and wonderful.
 Thank You for who You are and all You do.
 I praise You with my heart and my words.
 Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)

Play a gentle worship song.
 Encourage your child to clap, sway, or smile while saying:
 “Thank You, God!”

Choose one worship song today and sing along or listen carefully as a way of thanking God.
