🕊️ Story / Reflection
Sometimes children think that doing chores at home is stressful, boring, or even a form of suffering.
But God wants us to see things differently.
Helping at home is not punishment—it is service. And there is no better place to learn how to serve than in our own family.
Jesus, the Son of God, served others. He helped people, cared for them, and even washed His disciples' feet. He showed us that serving is an act of love.
Every time you:
You are serving your family.
When we serve with a cheerful attitude, we make life easier for those around us and bring joy into our homes.
Serving is not only about chores. It is also about using our gifts, abilities, and strengths to help others.
Maybe you are good at organising, encouraging people, teaching younger children, cleaning, fixing things, or making others smile. God can use those abilities to bless your family.
As we grow, we can also learn new ways to serve better.
A joyful servant does not wait to be forced. They look for opportunities to help.
When we serve our families with love, we are also serving God.
Every act of service, no matter how small, matters to Him.

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12)Joyful Service Challenge
This week:
Ask yourself: "How did I serve my family today?"
🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment
Sit quietly and place your hands open on your lap. Take a slow breath.
Now softly say: "Jesus, teach me to serve with joy." Pause quietly for a moment. Think about your family members one by one.
Ask Jesus: "How can I be a blessing to my family today?" Listen quietly and imagine Jesus showing you simple ways to help, encourage, and serve the people in your home.
Rest peacefully, knowing that every act of loving service is precious to God and helps your family experience His love through you.
