📖 Bible Verse
“Do not be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.” —  Philippians 2:3

🕊️ Story / Reflection

God wants us to care about others and not think only about ourselves.

Sometimes it can feel difficult to share toys, snacks, time, or attention because we naturally want things for ourselves.

But Jesus teaches us to be loving, generous, and thoughtful.

Jesus shared His love, time, kindness, and help with everyone around Him. He cared deeply about people and always looked for ways to bless others.

When we share, we show kindness and love.

Sharing can look like:

  • Letting someone use your toy
  • Sharing snacks
  • Taking turns
  • Helping someone in need
  • Including others in games
  • Giving cheerfully

Selfishness says:

  • “Mine only.”
  • “I don’t want to share.”

But love says:

  • “You matter too.”
  • “I can share.”
  • “I want to help.”

God is pleased when we have generous hearts that care for others.

💡 Lesson

God wants me to share and care about others.

🙏 Prayer

Dear God,

Help me not to be selfish.

Teach me to share happily and care about others.

Give me a generous and loving heart like Jesus.

Amen.

  2. How did Jesus show generosity and love?
  3. What are ways children can share at home or school?
  4. How do others feel when we share kindly?

🕯️ Challenge (Ages 10–12)Generous Heart Challenge

This week:

  • Share something happily
  • Include someone who feels left out
  • Help someone without expecting anything back
  • Practice putting others first

Before acting, ask yourself: “Am I thinking only about myself or caring about others too?”

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Sit quietly and place your hands open in front of you.

Think about something you can share with someone else.

Now softly say: “Jesus, help me have a generous heart.”

Pause quietly for a moment.

Imagine Jesus filling your heart with kindness, love, and joy as you learn to care for others.
