πŸ“– Bible Verse
β€œBe strong and courageous. Do not be afraid... for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” β€” Joshua 1:9

πŸ•ŠοΈ Story / Reflection

Being a follower of Jesus is not just for churchβ€”it is for every day and everywhere we go.

God wants us to stand for Him at home, at school, on the playground, and wherever we are.

Standing for God means choosing to do what is right even when it is difficult.

Sometimes other people may choose to:

  • Tell lies
  • Be unkind
  • Disobey rules
  • Make fun of others
  • Encourage wrong choices

In those moments, God wants us to be brave and choose what pleases Him.

Daniel stood for God even when others did not.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood for God even when it was unpopular. They trusted God and obeyed Him no matter what.

You can stand for God by:

  • Telling the truth
  • Being kind
  • Obeying parents and teachers
  • Refusing to join in wrong behaviour
  • Praying and reading your Bible
  • Showing God's love to others

You may sometimes feel alone, but you are never alone. God is always with you and will help you do what is right.

When you stand for God, you become a light that shines for Jesus.

πŸ’‘ Lesson

God will help me be brave and do what is right wherever I am.

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear God, help me stand for You at home and at school. Give me courage to do what is right even when it is difficult. Help me choose truth, kindness, and obedience every day. Let my life shine for Jesus wherever I go, in Jesus' name. Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)"Shine for Jesus" Activity

Give each child a paper star or sun shape.

Let them draw or write ways they can stand for God:

  • Tell the truth
  • Be kind
  • Obey
  • Help others

Say together: "I can shine for Jesus!"

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Discuss:

  1. What does it mean to stand for God?
  2. Why can it sometimes be difficult to do the right thing?
  3. How did Daniel and his friends stand for God?
  4. How can you stand for God at home and school?

πŸ•―οΈ Challenge (Ages 10–12)Courage Challenge

This week:

  • Tell the truth even when it is hard
  • Refuse to join in wrong behaviour
  • Show kindness to someone who needs it
  • Pray before school each day

Ask yourself: "Did my choices today show that I belong to Jesus?"

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Sit quietly and place your hand over your heart.

Think about a situation where it may be hard to do the right thing.

Now softly say:"Jesus, help me be brave enough to stand for You."

Pause quietly for a moment. Imagine Jesus standing beside you at school, at home, and wherever you go.

Listen quietly as He reminds you:"I am always with you. Be strong and courageous."

Rest peacefully, knowing that God will help you choose what is right.
