πŸ“– Bible Verse
β€œThe Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” β€”1 Samuel 16:7

πŸ•ŠοΈ Story / Reflection

Character is who you really are on the inside.

It is the choices you make, the words you speak, and the things you doβ€”even when nobody is watching.

It is easy to do the right thing when a teacher, parent, or friend is looking. But true character is shown when you are alone and still choose to be honest, kind, obedient, and respectful.

Imagine finding a coin on the floor when no one is around. Would you keep it or return it?

Imagine being tempted to tell a lie so you won't get into trouble. What would you do?

God sees everything we doβ€”not because He wants to catch us doing wrong, but because He cares about the kind of people we are becoming.

God is more interested in our hearts than our appearance.

He wants us to have good character because good character helps us become more like Jesus.

Every time you choose what is right, even when no one is watching, you are building strong godly character.

πŸ’‘ Lesson

Good character means choosing what is right, even when nobody is watching.

πŸ™ Prayer

Dear God,

Thank You for caring about my heart.

Help me to be honest, kind, and obedient at all times.

Teach me to do what is right, even when no one is watching.

Help me become more like Jesus every day.

Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)"Right Choice, Wrong Choice" Game

Read simple situations:

  • Picking up your toys
  • Telling a lie
  • Sharing with a friend
  • Taking something that isn't yours

Let children give a thumbs-up πŸ‘ for good character and a thumbs-down πŸ‘Ž for poor character.

Say together:"I choose what is right!"

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Discuss:

  1. What does character mean?
  2. Why does God care about our hearts?
  3. What is one good choice you can make when no one is watching?
  4. How can Jesus help you build good character?

πŸ•―οΈ Challenge (Ages 10–12)Secret Character Challenge

Today, do one good thing that nobody knows about.

You could:

  • Help with a chore without being asked
  • Pick up litter
  • Pray for someone
  • Return something that doesn't belong to you

Remember: God sees every act of goodness.

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Place your hand on your heart and sit quietly.

Ask Jesus: "Jesus, what kind of person do You want me to become?"

Listen quietly for a moment.

Now say: "Jesus, help me do what is right, even when no one is watching."

Sit for a few seconds and imagine Jesus smiling at you because He sees your heart and is helping you grow in godly character.
