You are valuable to God

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God… Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” —  Luke 12:6–7

Have you ever wondered if you really matter? Maybe when someone ignores you…

Or when you make a mistake…

Or when you feel small…

But here is the truth: You are very valuable to God.

God knows everything about you — your name, your thoughts, and your heart. 

He cares about every little detail of your life. 

How do we know we matter so much? Because Jesus died for us.

 Jesus chose to give His life because we are important to Him. That is how much God loves us. 

You are not forgotten. You are not unimportant.

You are deeply loved and precious to God.

💡 Lesson

I am valuable to God, and I matter to Him.

🙏 Prayer

Dear God,

Thank You for loving me so much.

Thank You for showing me that I matter.

Help me to remember that I am valuable to You every day.

Amen.

🎨 Activity (Ages 3–6)

• Give the child a small mirror.
• Ask them to look at themselves and say:
  “I am valuable to God.”
• Decorate the mirror frame with stickers or drawings.

✏️ Reflection (Ages 7–9)

Write or Discuss:

1. What makes you feel special?
2. Why are you valuable to God?
3. How does it make you feel to know Jesus died for you?

Today, say this out loud:

“I am valuable to God.”

• Write it somewhere you can see.
• Believe it, even if you don’t always feel it.

🌿 Sit with Jesus Moment

Close your eyes and take a slow breath.

Imagine Jesus looking at you with love and kindness. Hear Him say:

“You are important to Me.”

Sit quietly and let His love fill your heart.
